Nutritional requirements of 2nd age kittens
The kittens' second growth phase is equally important. Gradually the kitten, which remains fragile, changes in three ways:
- Permanent teeth gradually emerge after the 4th month.
- As the kittens' digestive capacity develops , they are gradually able to assimilate more nutrients.
- Growth continues at a slower rate until the kitten is 1 year old, during which time final bone formation occurs.
